How do you see your company’s presence on the internet? Do you ever wish your organization was a little quicker to embrace the internet as a customer service and marketing tool? Just like how a traditional website was exciting 10 years ago there is an amazing new generation of tools that could bring your business up to speed with today’s marketing technology. We can speak to our target audience with our website, yet we can listen to them with social media.

A few years ago we only had control over the content on our own website. While this has worked for years it is seen as a very one way conversation, the only way a user could interact and share your message was by email, the equivalent of having conversations over the phone – but what if that user wanted to share your message with 500 people in their industry? Or even 50 of their closest friends? Sending a blanket email to everyone every time you find an interesting article can be awkward; and can you imagine calling 50 people just to tell them that you had a fabulous appointment at the dentist?

This is where “Web2.0” changes the way we communicate online forever. By giving companies the ability to listen to what their users are saying we can have full conversations with all of our visitors and our friends. This is a big change, think of it like this: A Facebook message can ask a question and get feedback, or inform your clients of new services, employment opportunities or special prices. A 140 character twitter message can rival billboard campaigns, a blog post can replace a newspaper article and a YouTube video can easily replace a television commercial.

Instead of shouting out to the world and hoping they listen, let’s figure out who is interested in us, and have a conversation. Call us for ideas, we can help.
